BACK TO SCHOOL
Carroll ISD classes begin next week on Aug 13. TOD has already started back to school dust off and summer assignment lessons. Most math classes have a skill exam the second/third week of school. Have no fear, we got you. Be sure to check our website and Face Book for updated schedules.

 

PRICING UPDATE
Pricing for private hour-long classes are now $75. Pricing for classes is listed on the schedule. Most hour-long classes will be $50 and half hour classes are $30. Until we move to the portal, payment forms are cash, check or zelle.

 

As we grow, we have need for new tutors. If you know of someone who is knowledgeable and patient and you think may be a fit at TOD, please ask them to contact us. Please note that new tutors will be vetted and thoroughly trained in our unique Tutor of Dragon foundational approach.

 

SAT/ACT NEWS
TOD has fully embraced SAT & ACT tutoring. The TOD approach is short intensive skills sessions to review best strategies to achieve higher scores for the approaching test. Skills camp is both knowledge and strategy based. Camps are $1000 for the 16 hours of class time but we offer a 10% discount to current TOD students.

 

PORTAL UPDATE
We have a new website. Within the website , a new parent/student portal is under construction. This portal will replace “Remind” as a method of communication and disseminating information. In addition, the portal provides a pathway for class material and recording distribution in addition to payments. For two years, TOD has been investing to create this portal, and since we are so close to launch, we have decided to limp along with
“Remind” until completion. Expected completion and launch should be September 1st. We hope the portal provides a smoother delivery of updates, schedules, class materials, and recordings.

LOCATION,LOCATION, LOCATION
WELCOME BACK. We hope everyone had a great Summer Break. A lot has happened since we last met. For those we have not seen over the summer we are happy to announce the new location. All classes will now take place at 1320 N White Chapel Bl., Southlake, TX. The new building will allow a better learning experience. The added space has allowed us to add additional tutors and expand our subject base. We hope you like it as much as we do.

 

Teacher Announcements
We are sorry to announce that Ms Kim Parkins is no longer with Tutor of Dragons. She has elected not to renew her contract with us and will be returning to her own tutoring business. We all wish her the best in her future endeavors.
For the students effected by this change, the group classes will now be at our offices, taught by Miss Liz. As always keep an eye out for your dates and times on the published schedule. If you have any questions or concerns about this, please feel free to contact us.

 

Language Arts
We have added Language Arts to the roster of subjects available at TOD. Those who attended SAT of ACT classes this summer have met our new LA Tutor, Ms. Tara Eddins. We are pleased to have her as a new team member and look forward to Tara’s ability to round our offerings. If you go to our new web site www.tutrofdragons.com you can read about her.

Spanish
We are adding Spanish as the first of the non-english languages being added to our roster. We have been fortunate to add Florencia Davis as a tutor for all things Spanish. She will be added to the website for you to meet in the next few days.
