SPANISH TUTOR
Born and raised in Argentina, I am a native Spanish speaker. Taught English in a past life, so I’m familiar with grammatical and speech differences. I have enjoyed tutoring Spanish to kids, specifically high school curriculum the last few years. I believe in learning basics first and making it as fun as possible!
Elizabeth Presley, fondly known as “Miss Liz” holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Texas Arlington. Her background in psychology provides her with a unique perspective on understanding a student’s diverse needs and learning styles. She has a daughter who is a teacher, and she cherishes her role as a grandmother to two wonderful grandsons. This deep-rooted sense of family drives Miss Liz’s commitment to nurturing the academic growth and success of every student she encounters.
Ms. Kim Parkins comes to Tutor of Dragons with a passion for all things Math! She is a graduate of Texas A & M College of Engineering with a degree in Industrial Distribution and Engineering Technology. She has lived in Southlake long enough to see all three of her children attend CISD from pre K through graduation. Miss Kim has been a teacher assistant at both DMS and RES in the co-teach and resource Math classrooms. She has worked as a substitute teacher for many campuses in middle school math. She has been hired many years over as an official STAAR tutor by CISD. When asked why she tutors, her reply is, “I love to work with our sweet students to find the gaps. Once the gaps are recognized, I can fill them in and create connections to re-ignite their learning.”
