Our classes are offered in person, synchronously on Zoom or video recordings. Recordings are available after the class. In addition to STEM subjects, Tutor of Dragons also provides comprehensive English courses focusing on grammar, writing skills, literature analysis, and more. Our goal is not just academic success but also building strong communication abilities. Exposure to literature and how it is framed can spark the imagination of young minds as they start to formulate their life’s path.
We understand the importance of this area of study and feel the world will benefit from a better understanding of our combined history’s and how yesterday affects today and today has an impact on tomorrow.

Supporting the CISD School District is a priority for Tutor of Dragons. After all this our home too. Most of us have our own Dragons currently attend CISD or are past graduates. We understand the importance of providing quality education to students within the community. We serve to reinforce and expand on the lessons received in the classroom in real time.
Our tutors are dedicated to helping students excel in all subjects, from the Maths and Natural Sciences and Language Arts, with Social Sciences coming soon. With personalized attention and tailored lesson plans, we aim to bridge any learning gaps and boost student confidence. We pride ourselves as being the training ground for young dragons to learn and to take flight and soar.
Syncing our lessons with CISD allows us to stay updated on educational trends and requirements, enabling us to adapt our teaching methods accordingly. Together, we strive to empower students with the knowledge and skills needed for success both inside and outside the classroom.

Liz Presley is the BEST teacher my daughter has ever had. While she never actually had Liz as her teacher, Liz took the place of her teacher in all of her math and science classes in high school. She went to a couple of other tutors before she found Liz Presley, but they didn’t make much of a difference in my daughter’s understanding of the material and in some cases, they made her feel dumb for asking questions.
Then a friend recommended Liz Presley to us. Her daughter was going to Liz and it was really helping with her confidence and comprehension. We gave Liz a try and what a difference it made! Not only does Liz know the material well, but she teaches it in a way that makes it understandable. She never makes a student feel dumb for asking a question. She has a great sense of humor and uses it when she’s teaching, it makes everyone feel comfortable and helps them learn without worrying about sounding stupid for not understanding the material.
My daughter was able to excel in all of her math and science classes in high school primarily because of the excellent instruction she got from Liz. She is almost done with her first year of college where she is taking a Calculus class and while many students in the class are struggling, my daughter is excelling thanks to what Liz taught her in high school. It’s too bad there aren’t more tutors like Liz. She is someone who really wants her students to understand the concepts and is willing to take the time and explain the material in different ways to make that happen.
Liz is the best math tutor ever! She is thorough and takes interest in every child even before they start class. My daughter who is Adv. Algebra II was about to give up on the class and was starting to hate math. After taking a few clases with Liz she went back to being a great math student and loving it once again. The bonus part is that she can take it in person or online and she requires them to turn on their camera when online. It made a total difference for my daughter. I highly recommend her!!!!
